In addition to my work as a political scientist, I’m also a webcomic artist! For the past nine years, I’ve been drawing, writing, and posting “Tiny Snek Comics,” a strip which runs the gamut from silly animals to political commentary. With over 1 million followers across several social media platforms, my comics have amassed a dedicated fanbase and led to some interesting side projects: a guest of honor convention appearance, two board games, five plushies, and even an interview in the New York Times.
My comics have also served as a platform for political and charitable advocacy: since 2018, I’ve raised over $300,000 for causes including the Yellowhammer Fund, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, RAICES, the Florence Project, and Feeding America.
